Recipients of the 2023 MAZDA Safety Awards

The 2023 IIHS top safety awards have been granted to every single Mazda model that was tested this year. Mazdas are safe—among the safest vehicles on Valencia roads today. Here are the models that were awarded the TOP SAFETY PICK or TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation:

What’s more, the IIHS introduced much more stringent requirements for achieving winning the TOP SAFETY PICK rating. As of 2021, contending models must provide much better pedestrian crash prevention systems, better side crash protection, and headlight performance. As for the new side crash test, it subjects vehicles to 82% more kinetic energy than previous years.
